Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a morning news anchor at WCBD TV and was a crime reporter. O'Dell's reporting on the lax response of the police in response to DUI incidents in Charleston caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. Following her stint at Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative journalist. After that, she joined Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. She also works as a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. The anchor has hosted a number of pre-show arrivals to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Also, she co-hosted Miss USA's pageant, as well as Miss Universe. Miss Universe Pageant.
